Our Founder
I am Kristy Williamson, Broken Halo Rescue is my baby.
It all started in November 2015.
My love for dogs has always been a main focus in my life since I was 12.
It all began for me when I went on an outing to a rescue in south Africa, where I grew up.
From then on I've always wanted to work with animals that has always come naturally to me.
I started because a sweet dog was abandoned by "rescue" in kennels and he was just left. I spent alot of time with him and decided if I was gonna make a difference it has to start now - for hockham. And the rest is history.

We are a not for profit organisation albeit very tiny who work day in and out to help dogs and cats.
We are foster based and have to use kennels in absolute emergencies.
We do our best to rehab dogs and find suitable homes for them.
We offer rescue back up for life and we always keep in touch and offer support where needed to adopters, fosterers and even the general public.
What is Broken Halo Rescue
We work with everyone on an individual basis because every dog, cat and human is different.
We rehabilitate , educate and help facilitate rehoming animals often from strays, neglect, death and families who cannot have them anymore.
We fundraise for ourselves, we do not get paid by any means and we work tirelessly 24/7 every day every year for the last decade.

WE ARE IN CRISIS
We are at month end and have zero funds our food is running out, we have 4 dogs in kennels and vet bills we are still paying monthly.
I really don't know how much longer we can keep going. We won't make next month!!!. This looks like the end of the road financially for us.
What will happen to our animals who have nothing in this world except us? How do we look them in the eye and tell them " I'm sorry I failed you?" Where do we go from here?
The animals have always come first and foremost to us, we pick up the pieces, we try to heal their broken hearts, retrain and even help others with advise but we just can't do this alone.
If every member donated £1 we would be so grateful and it would mean so much to us. We would be able to save dogs who die in UK pounds, we could buy food, pay our vet bills and help more animals needing medical treatment.
The stress, sadness, mental anguish is relentless and we deal with this daily. We cry daily, our hearts break daily and the only joy is seeing those souls thrive healthy and happy in their new homes.
Our hands are now firmly tied. After almost 10 years this is the lowest we have ever been.
I know life and times are tough for everyone but we are begging you, we are literally on our knees.
