Yuki

Yuki is a 4 year old Romanian rescue.

He came to the UK and was adopted at 6 months old.

He is crate trained, and has never had an accident in the house.

He is nervous meeting new people but with time and treats does settle.

He isn't reactive to other dogs but doesn't know how to say hello properly, and his barking does scare dogs sometimes.

Yuki is the type of dog that only needs one long walk/run a day and will lounge and sleep for the rest, he isn't very affectionate but does like a snuggle when he wants.

He is fine being left home, will not have any accidents or chew anything.

He has had a dog trainer for over a year and has enjoyed being stimulated very much.

He does bark a lot when allowed to sit at windows or in the garden if there are noises on the other side of the fence, (main reason why we introduced the crate for while we are out).

Yuki is best described as a grumpy old man, he doesn't like being told off and will hold a grudge for the day.

We have had a few instances where he has snapped at us because he has not wanted to do what we ask, which we could work past but we have a 5 year old that we cannot risk him snapping at.

He has been really good with kids, but due to the stubbornness cannot be fully trusted around them so would need to go to a home without kids.

His ideal home would be a home in the countryside that doesn't have many visitors, he would be happy with other dogs or a single dog household.

We love Yuki and this hasn't been an easy decision but we've tried everything we can to make Yuki comfortable and enjoy life, the happiest we've seen him is doing training sessions. But other than that he doesn't seem to want to be here or with us which we're sad about, but understand that he may just want quiet and space.
